Amy Collins
Founder and President
Amy Collins founded She Plays Flag Texas with a simple but powerful belief: every girl deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of sports. As a lifelong athlete who played basketball through junior college, Amy knows firsthand how athletics shapes character, builds confidence, and develops essential life skills.
Today, Amy runs a successful law firm where she credits much of her professional success to the leadership, resilience, and teamwork she learned on the court. Those early lessons in discipline, strategic thinking, and perseverance became the foundation for both her legal career and her passion for youth athletics.
As a mother, Amy has witnessed the impact of sports through her own children's journeys. Her daughter Hannah thrived in all-star cheer, her son Colen progressed from taekwondo to wrestling, and her daughter Cassidy discovered her love for flag football. Watching Cassidy take the field inspired Amy to create more opportunities for girls across Texas to experience the same joy, growth, and empowerment that sports can provide.
Through She Plays Flag Texas, Amy is dedicated to ensuring that every girl has access to quality athletic programs where they can discover their own strength, develop leadership skills, and build the confidence that comes from being part of a team. She believes that the playing field is where future leaders are made, and she's committed to making that opportunity available to girls throughout the state.
Erin Goodman
Secretary
Erin Goodman joined the Board of Directors of She Plays Flag Texas with a longstanding belief in the power of youth athletics to shape confident, capable young people. A licensed attorney with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership across 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations, she brings a strategic, solutions-focused perspective to organizational leadership and program development.
Her connection to athletics runs deep. Erin trained for years as a classical ballerina, earned recognition as an NCA All-American, and was a member of Stephen F. Austin State University’s National Champion Pom Squad. These experiences taught her how structure, teamwork, and high expectations can empower young people to discover their strengths and push beyond perceived limits.
As a parent, Erin has witnessed the impact of sports firsthand. Her daughter, once a high-level competitive gymnast, now channels that same determination into field hockey. Her son has embraced a wide range of sports—from baseball to football to soccer—each offering new lessons in confidence, teamwork, and perseverance. Their journeys have reinforced her belief that athletics can profoundly shape a child’s sense of self and possibility.
In her role with She Plays Flag Texas, Erin is committed to expanding access to athletic programs that encourage girls to take risks, build confidence, and discover what they are capable of achieving. She views the organization’s mission as an investment not only in young athletes, but in the future leaders they will become.
Jessica Comer
Development Director
Jessica Comer brings to She Plays Flag Texas a lifelong passion for sports and an unwavering commitment to creating equal opportunities for female athletes. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a former elementary school teacher, Jessica understands how athletic experiences shape young minds and build character.
Growing up playing select soccer, Jessica experienced firsthand how sports molded her identity and taught her invaluable life lessons about teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Today, she lives in Texas with her husband Rob and their three daughters: Ellery, Ruth, and Phoebe. Watching her daughter Ellery fall in love with flag football and thrive playing select flag has been a full-circle moment, reinforcing why this work matters so deeply.
Jessica often reflects that if flag football had been available during her youth, she would have jumped at the opportunity. That's exactly why she's passionate about She Plays Flag Texas—helping ensure every girl has access to the game through financial assistance, scholarships, and equipment support. When she's not working to create opportunities for young female athletes, Jessica enjoys traveling with her family.
Hannah Collins
Director
Hannah Collins is a 2025 graduate of Grand Oaks High School and is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in political science at Blinn College. She plans to transfer to Texas A&M University to complete her bachelor's degree before attending law school.
A dedicated athlete throughout her formative years, Hannah competed in both all-star cheer and high school cheer, where she learned the importance of precision, teamwork, and supporting others to achieve collective success. These experiences taught her that every role matters and that strong organizations are built on clear communication and attention to detail.
As Director of She Plays Flag Texas, Hannah brings her organizational skills, commitment to excellence, and genuine passion for creating opportunities for young female athletes. Having benefited from her own athletic experiences, she understands the confidence and leadership skills that sports can develop in young women. Hannah is dedicated to helping She Plays Flag Texas grow and thrive so that more girls across Texas can discover their potential both on and off the field.
